St Johann is blessed with mainly north-facing slopes, allowing it to maintain the best of snow conditions. This fact and the presence of 54 mobile snow cannons, assure you of great skiing. To top it off, the Steinplatte ski area is close at hand, offering high altitude and guaranteed skiing.

Rustic mountain huts dotted over the mountain, entice all skiers to stop and soak up some traditional Austrian hospitality.
The skiing is great and well-suited to beginners and intermediates with the “Penzing” run looming at the top of the mountain for the brave an experienced.
Take a Ski Safari with one of our tour leaders to a nearby ski area and experience some exciting new slopes.
The excellent shopping and proximity to major cities, along with the many excursions available, offer an attractive package to the non-skier visiting St Johann. Mountain huts are also easily accessible, making it possible to join in snow activities without the need to ski!
